Ferg's Oatmeal Stout is a luscious black beer with chocolate characters on both the nose and the palate, it is a generally soft, smooth and easy to drink. This version is based on Fergus McGregor's fabulous award winning recipe and is a complex blend of base and dark malts and of course oatmeal. 

These fresh wort kits are made on a Speidel 500L Braumeister Brewery, they are made from all grain and brewed true to style. They are well suited to time poor brewers or those who simply want an excellent beer with a minimum of effort.

NOTE: Supplied in a 16.5 litre HDPE cube. These kits are generally designed to add 3 litres of water immediately prior to fermentation to achieve the ideal balance. You may if you wish, not add the extra water for a richer, higher gravity version.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

Approximate cube volume: 16.5L.
Starting Gravity: 1.065 undiluted, 1.055 with 3 litres of water added
Bitterness: 30 IBU’s using US Warrior hops.
Grist make up: Joe White Ale 72%, JW Chocolate 12%, JW Crystal 5%, Flaked Oats 5% and JW Roast Barley 6%

No Dry Hopping required.

• BSY-A012 Michigan
• Mangrove Jacks M36 or
• Lallemand Nottingham Ale
